Leave Your Trace.

Zufoor makes pure oil attars. No alcohol, no filler, no spray mist that vanishes by lunch. Hand poured in Atlanta, in bottles worth keeping.

Who we are

A Hijama House family venture

Hijama House LLC is a family business in Atlanta. Zufoor is its fragrance line, and it started for an ordinary reason: this family has always worn oil perfume, and the version of it you can buy in the West is usually not the real thing.

We are originally from Mumbai. There, attar is not a niche product. It is sold from the drum, by weight, and you buy it by putting it on the back of your hand and waiting. Nobody hands you a marketing card. You smell it, you wait ten minutes, you smell it again, and then you decide.

Zufoor is that habit brought to Georgia. We buy from the same kind of house our family has always bought from, in the same market, and we fill every bottle here ourselves.

The difference

Most perfume is mostly alcohol

A designer eau de parfum is roughly 80% alcohol and 15 to 20% fragrance. The alcohol is a delivery system. It carries the scent off your skin fast, which is why a spray is loudest in the first ten minutes and thinnest by the afternoon.

An attar has no alcohol to burn off. The oil sits on warm skin and releases slowly, so it builds instead of peaking, and it is still working at the end of the day. Ours run eight to twelve hours, and the strong ones carry.

Three drops is a full wearing. That is the whole idea.

Where it comes from

Closer to a courtesy than a luxury

Attar is older than the perfume industry. Long before scent was something you sprayed, it was pressed oil kept in a small bottle and touched to the wrists before you sat down with people. You put it on for the company, not for the mirror.

That is the tradition Zufoor comes from, and it is why there is no alcohol in the bottle. It is also why it lasts. Those are not two decisions. They are the same one.

The oils

Chosen by smell, not by spec sheet

We buy the concentrated oil in bulk, by the kilo, from a family fragrance house in Mumbai that has been blending attars for decades. The kind of place where the good material is behind the counter and you have to know to ask for it.

Twenty one fragrances made the final list. Some are oud, deep and resinous and built for evenings. Some are rose, musk, saffron, coffee, sandalwood, sea salt. A few are quiet enough for an office. Every one of them earned its place by lasting on skin, not by sounding good on paper.

The bottles

No two of ours are the same

Attar bottles are their own tradition. Ours are ornate metal and cut glass: a gold minaret with a rhinestone collar, a clock tower with a crescent finial, a crown, a lantern set with blue stones, a pierced obelisk. They are made to sit out on a shelf, not hide in a cabinet.

This is also why our sizes are not interchangeable. A fragrance sold in 6 ml and 12 ml is often two genuinely different bottles, so the photograph on the page changes with the size you pick. What you see is the bottle we will send you.

How we work

Small batches, filled by hand

Every bottle is filled here in Atlanta, one at a time. Nothing is mass produced and nothing sits in a warehouse for a year. It also means quantities are genuinely limited: when a size is sold out, it is sold out because we poured what we had.

Wearing it

Less than you think

Use the applicator or a fingertip on your wrists, the base of your neck, behind the ears. Two or three touches is a full application. Do not rub it in, let it settle. Oil concentrates in warmth, so a little more in winter, a little less in summer.

Our promises

What we do not do

  • No alcohol. Not as a marketing line, as a formulation choice.
  • No designer name dropping. We will describe how something smells. We will not tell you it is a copy of someone else's bottle.
  • No fake reviews. Product pages show no rating until real customers leave one.
  • No invented scarcity. If a page says three left, there are three left.

Good attar is hard to find outside the right neighbourhood, and the version most people meet first is a spray that fades by lunch. We would rather sell you one bottle you finish than five you forget.
